The story of the LGM Leviathan is a very sad one but hopefully its starting to look up.
It's still hard to talk about. The wound is still too fresh. I originally ordered my Leviathan from Jeremy Ferguson over at LGM. It was a piece of artwork...Quilted maple..Carriburst finish...leviathan inlay..the works. After a 3 year waiting period..yep..that's right 3 years...it was almost completed ..in the final stages of assembly..and there was an accident in his shop and the wall that he had his guitars hanging on, for drying and assembly, fell down irreparably damaging my guitar. He refunded my money..end of story. Not my happiest time.
Now..fast forward 2 or 3 years. I find Patrick has taken over the LGM name and we're back in business. Now, granted, Patrick and I had a rocky start. It started over the neck for my Herc Fede PMC JEM build but after some discussion we worked everything out...the neck was built..end of story.
During the time we were working out things with my neck he mentioned that he had bought the rights to Jeremy's LGM design's. I told him about my Leviathan Odyssey and that, if we could work something out, I was interested. I told him the spec's I wanted and we got the next project rolling. I wanted to be one of the very first Leviathan owners, and will be, come end of summer. It's definitely a feel good ending to a very tragic story.
