Even if he uses black pickups, the cream rings just look "right" on that color scheme.

LPs and PRSes almost always look "right" with cream rings and black bobbins.

Yeah, i think the black pickups and cream rings really applies to most of the transparent finishes. PRSes in solid colours look great with black rings, as to white and wine red Les Pauls.
