I was checking the Jackson website/catalogue and I was wondering
why they only do the Soloist in 7 string version ( apart from some signature model like the Cow ) , while both Esp and Schecter ( that I suppose are the biggest competitors at the moment ) offer budget downgraded versions
of their expensive standard 7 string models?
Is that a market choice or what?
This way, they loose A LOT of buyers, as almost every modern metal guitarist
is looking for or has a 7 string guitar and maybe would start with a budget model, before buying a 1200$ Slat 7...
Or, at least, if they do other 7 string models, they aren't on the website...
I've gotta admit, I own two Jackson 7 strings, and even I don't think of them first when it comes to 7 strings.
I wonder if its down to demand and their signature artists?
