And fuck all, the dude did an AMAZING job!

Unfortunately, he could not make these EMGs suck less.

How high up are the emgs? My loomis sounded mich better when I raised them up a bunch.

Also I'll never trust a store to do setups again unless I know the guy doing the work. They always seem to fuck up and never have the right size keys or screwdriver.

Thats great yours turned out well though!

You've been playing 20 years. Set up your own guitars

Yeah, going to slap BKPs in it as soon as the finances allow. I'm leaning towards the Holy Diver or the Rebel Yell, since these days (and with this guitar/wood combo) I find myself reaching to turn the mids up more and more.

Once I have some more time on it (and get Nolly's input ) I'll end up swapping to something passive.

Please give the Custom/Jazz set a chance. I think you'll be amazed.

Custom/Jazz = zero corksniffer points.

I have both the HD and the RY. The HD has more output and more mids. The RY has more top end bite.

Matt, he owns a ESP. In the singlecut world, you need a minimum of a real Gibson, non-Studio version, to get corksniffer points.
