The only thing I can seem to find online is the loaded version. I like the shields, but have absolutely no use for the piezo.

Yes but you may have to special order it. The piezo, inlays and painted headstock are all options. They can be ordered in any combination with or without any of those options. Most MD JP's tend to have the piezo since most guys want all the options when springing for the $300 or so extra for the MD paint job.

Thanks dude. Any idea how much of an upcharge it is? (Or more accurately, how much I'd save if I waited for one to be made without it?) If it's just a couple hundred bucks, fuck it.

You would likely pay more than you did for your JP6 as you got a killer deal. I think a no options at all JP7 runs about $1600. Add inlays, matching headstock and MD and your probably looking at probably $2100-2200 or so and a few months of waiting. Probably could get a better deal on one with a piezo.

Yeah. I can score a new one for about $2500, sans wait, and I'm a patient lad so I can hunt around a bit.

Thanks dude, +Rep for ya.

I would honestly stick with the one you got for the price.

NP dude. If you keep your eye out you may even find a used one. There are MD's out there with no piezo for sure. Their just a little less common. Hell for a little while I had a black JP6 that was ordered with a rosewood neck and no piezo. Some people just prefer no piezo. They are out there.

I'm one of them. I don't gig, and I own a nice acoustic, so the piezo is just useless to me, ya know?
