Is it normal for new tremolo bridges to require a break-in period before they become stable? Like, do the springs need some amount of stretching and compressing "exercise" before they settle down and maintain reliable tuning stability?
I ask because I have (new) trems, which I don't really use much, on a number of guitars and I find that in the rare moments that I do play with the trem bar a little, returning perfectly to the zero state is unreliable at best. Will these trems "settle in" if I just use them more?
