I haven't owned a 6-string or purchased a new guitar in over 2 years so when I saw this MV-300 on Guitar Center's used site I gave into my 24.75in superstrat GAS and bought it. To my suprise it came with an EMG-81 instead of the HZ in the bridge so now I only have to replace one shitty pickup (I like EMGs )
With the COW7:
And my super metal travel rig:
After cleaning and setting up the guitar I noticed that even with the bridge lowered all the way the action was pretty damn high. I've been slowly taking relief out of the neck and now it's at an acceptable level with no buzzing, but the bridge is still as low as it can go. While the guitar plays great right now I'm concerned about the lack of adjustment because my Jackson has slightly lower action and plenty of travel left in the bridge.
Shitty action picture:
I might just return it but I'd rather just fix if possible because it's sweet guitar.
Is it a bolt on neck? I'm not familliar with this guitar. U could try shimming the neck pocket. That would give u more travel for the bridge.
