So i had a technician change my pickups recently... and i asked him to also change the strings and gave him a set of 11-52 and what he told me was that the neck of my jackson JS20 Dinky is too thin to handle heavier gauge strings.
So i told him that i had at one point a 13-62 set on there and that i didn't notice any problems. Then he told me that there was something wrong with my truss rod ( can't translate the problem though) and then that might have caused it.
Is this possible? i never thought about it.

What do you tune to? Sounds like he's full of it, unless you're tuning to standard, and even then...
