Default Strings for C tuning on a 6'er

I'd like to string up one of my guitars with a thicker gauge of string for a C standard tuning (Grand Magus). I'm looking around for a balanced set with a "10s" feel.

I'm thinking a set of 13's. Thoughts?

D'addario do a set specifically for C standard. They're 60-12.
.60, .046, .034, .020, .016, .012

Would you like the tensions too? I have a pack in front of me

Also, I was using these in drop A/B standard and they weren't awfully dissimilar to the usual 10's in E that I use.

Oh cool. I generally sling D'Addario's, so they should feel pretty close. Thanks!

60? Is this 25.5? 60 on 25.5 tuned to C is gonna be mindlessly heavy and sound like shit IMO. Got for something like 56-12.

60 is way too heavy. I used to use 12-56 and that felt too much to me. 12-54 is a nice set

Another vote here that .60 is going to be really stiff and dead.

I used .52 in C and it sounded and felt great. You can dig into it hard and it's really clear and snappy.

I'd say at least 54 / 56-60 for C standard; 13-56 is the perfect medium but that 12-60 is nice if you want the 12s for the higher strings

A 60 is about as equal to a 50 gauge in E standard... I think it would be fine. I know the Amott bros in Arch Enemy use a 59 in a custom set.
