Went to Guitar Center the other day and had them order an Ibanez ARZ307FM after playing the plain black version and digging the hell out of it. The neck feels nice, I REALLY like the 25.5" scale after playing 26.5" Schecters for years; suits my hands way better.
They're shipping it to my office at no additional cost and I got 15% off for President's Day too.
Now to spend the rest of the week mashing refresh and planning upgrades. I'm thinking Dimarzios for the pickups. I'm thinking I'll get a D Activator for the bridge and either rip the Air Norton out of my Revenger or splurge and get a Liquifire for the neck. Maybe get a push pull pot and wire it up for a coil tap. Probably throw locking tuners on there as well.
I quite liked the look of those, but the blank fretboard doesn't do it for me - not into those. That and I just pulled the trigger on something else instead.
And I don't even have a tracking number, as it's being delivered to the local store from the distributor. I'm just gonna tough it out like a boss, dawg!
Be keen to hear how the AN7 responds to the mahogany. I've only ever used it in basswood (where I think it sounds awesome).
