Just got this yesterday, a MIJ Pro-Mod SoCal. The honeymoon period is still on, but so far I'm liking it, a LOT. The Chushin plant made awesome guitars, I'm still gutted they went out of business.
The previous owner changed the satin black pickguard to a glossy b-w-b one, and I'm actually not sure which I like better. The guitar has also gone through a pickup swap, there are now a set of Breeds in there. I like the bridge Breed quite a bit but the neck one seems a bit too dark sounding for my tastes.
Oh, there's one thing I hate about this guitar. Why the hell in this day and age would someone think it's a good idea to have the truss rod adjustment at the heel? Especially when there's a f'king rosewood "plug" on the headstock where the adjustment SHOULD be located at. So now it just LOOKS like the adjustment is there when it's actually at the heel.
Screw being historically accurate, that's a shitty design choice, period.
Some group shots of my humble "collection".
Beauty And you've got a really nice collection overall.
