Well. I know a lot of the guys around here are Superstrat players, but I wanted to put together a thread to celebrate the old school appeal of Gibson and Gibson -styled guitars. I've always been a Flying V and Les Paul fan, my first guitar was a V (Dean though), and since then I've picked up an LTD EC-1000, which plays beautifully, an SVK Les Paul Custom, which has the added benefit of a maple neck along with the maple cap, and recently I nabbed an Epiphone SG from my local shop without laying down a penny and I'm loving it.
Who else here is into the classic models of the Les Paul, SG, Explorer, and V? Do you swear by Gibson pickups, parts, or necks, or do you curse their lack of quality control and pointy edges nightly as you lie down in your coffin, clutching your neck thru RR24 with a gauntleted hand? All Discussion is welcome, and questions are great too!
I don't own a Gibson (never have) but I have been kicking around the idea of picking up a LP Studio or the Bonamassa sig lately.
My main 6 and 7 are both singlecuts these days as well.
