Default How's the condition of this RG550 bridge?

I'm being offered a pretty nice condition '89 RG550 with MAPLE fretboard. My only concern is just the bridge. What do you guys think based on just looking on it, should I be concern or no issue?

Is that a crack next to the arm holder?

Too much focus leads to tunnel vision
Too much faith leads to religion
Too much knowledge leads to confusion
Too many guitar lessons lead to jazz-fusion

Doesn't look bad. Saddles and string bolts still look useable. Though i would definately wipe all that rust and grime off,oil the moving parts. Heck maybe even get a new bridge with new posts.

I'm asking him for a better picture of it. Here are more pictures of the whole guitar.

Looks pretty normal to me for your average RG550 that has been played regularly. I've seen alot worse and they still function perfectly. I always thought that the cosmo finish on Ibanez stuff tarnished so easily.

Good choice.

You can't really go wrong with a nice RG550, especially an 80's one. Replace the pickups and you have a guitar more than capable of covering most bases and keeping-up with anything.

Could be a whole lot worse, that's a pretty clean maple board for a guitar with a bridge in this condition. Still, it'll clean up fine. Separate the trem into as many small parts as possible, give em a quick oil bath, scrub and lube. Get all the rust out of the threads of the screws. After you put it back together, it'll feel fine and look a whole lot better.

At least it's one of the best trems ever made, and not a cheap piece of shit. The cheap ones never really clean up well. Also, you can't polish a turd:
