    I need some help choosing...

The local Guitar Center has two guitars that I am interested in getting. But, can really one get one of the two. I was hoping some of you guys could help me out here.

Anyways, they have two "Used" guitars for $399 each. One is really just a brand new B C Rich Beast V NT that they have had sitting there for almost a year now. the other is a Black Ibanez XPT700. I haven't had a chance to play this Xiphos yet but the ones I have played I did enjoy. (I have played that Beast V NT and enjoyed it too )

Or should I go for this? they have it listed at $250?

The GC's used page has a 4 star ratting on the Xiphos though and though it is hard to see the pic they have looks like the lower horn might have a scratch on it:

The Beast V NT I believe they had gotten from another store that went out of business and they got a lot of that stores BC Rich stock I guess,

The only Down side to this one well there are at least 2 the "Ebony" fretboard has a red mark, guessing it is natural going from the first fret to the third fret. and it has BDSM Actives in it.

So what one should I go for?

Can't really comment on the RG, but I'm guessing it's one of the lower end ones. I'd say steer clear of it. I actually think it looks pretty cool, but I'm guessing it creaks and feels awful.

Can't really help you with the other two as I don't like guitars that look like Klingon Tampax Except to say, it seems like the Xiphos has a fairly shit trem but good pickups, whilst the BCR has a decent trem (if you can get on with Kahler (I can't)) and (probably) shit pickups. No idea what Nato wood is like, but the Xiphos is mahogany. Also no idea what the BCR neck will feel like, but the Xiphos will feel reasonable, for sure.

Get in there and play them is really the boring but best answer. They're both comparable end of the market guitars, so check them out.

Out of those I'd go for the Xiphos. I had the 7 string version and it was a damn solid guitar.

Definitely the Xiphos. I also had the 7 string one and it was awesome.
