I've never had a floating trem guitar, but I've also never had a fixed bridge guitar.
A floating trem would be cool I think but I so rarely use it anyway that I don't think I would feel like I was missing out by having a fixed bridge.
It is my understanding with Ibanez guitars that the Edge III tremolo is to be avoided, but Edge II is ok. The one in the S series (ZR) is supposed to be good, too. It's a pity I didn't like the S320 better; it was a good price.
I talked to a place today that has a used S420 for $325. I may have to go take a look.
It seems like there is a lot of variation in Ibanez's recent Wizard III necks. I have played some that were very nice, like on this RG471, and some that were rough an uncomfortable, like on the RG350 I played the other day.
