How often do you use your whammy bar?

Every guitar I've had has had just a normal (non-Floyd Rose) tremolo. I almost never use it. I haven't even screwed the whammy bar in in years.

I figure my next guitar will either have a fixed bridge or a floating trem, because there's no reason to get one with a normal tremolo; I might as well just get fixed.

So now I'm trying to figure out if I don't use my whammy bar because I can't do totally rad Vai type stuff with it, or if it's because I just don't care.

So you guys play metal, what do you do? How often do you use your whammy bar and what kind of tremolo do you have?

    Wirelessly posted (HTC G2)

I voted #3, but I have 2 down only floyds. Non-locking trems have no place in my rig, and fixed bridges are boring.

My two main guitars have tremolos, but I never use them. For some reason, I prefer guitars with tremolos, even though I hate changing strings on a guitar with a trem (which I do sometimes twice a month ) and even though I never ever ever actually use my trem.

Maybe, but that might be due to something else
I have the B C Rich r V that has a trem that I got a tremol-no on set to be used as a fixed bridge though. I still enjoy playing the guitar too, Changing the strings are a pain though

Had the trem blocked for years on all my guitars. Meanwhile sold all trem'd guitars, bought fixed bridge guitars instead.

I like locking saddles and fine tuners. Other than that...I hate floating trems. I never use them. I'd love some kind of drop in fixed bridge replacement for my floyds...
