Keep in mind with the Cooley that it's neck is ULTRA thin. I don't recall your neck tastes, but if you got along with your COW, PRS, and LTD, the Cooley's neck is going to be quite different.

Yeah, Cooley is always mentioning how it's got the absolute thinnest possible neck you will ever find on a 7 string. I mean, as long as it's not the FLATTEST possible neck, that's not really a bad thing. thick does not mean bad, and thin does not mean good, as long as it has a good shape.

Has anyone here tried a Cooley sig, and can chime in on it's neck VS other guitar's necks? It's made for maximum comfort and accessibility as far as shredding goes, so unless it's got a flat-back neck, it should actually be a really nice choice.

Matt, if it helps (it doesn't), i would go for the Loomis if i were given these options. The Buz would come second, because it's got a shorter scale length than the Loomis, and it doesn't have the same "juicy" looks. Cooley sig would be third, because it doesn't interest me much. I would gladly accept it if i got it for cheap, or it was given to me, but i wouldn't look for one.

Precisely ^ It wouldn't have even crossed my mind had I not seen a really minty one on eBay for quite a retardedly low price. Otherwise, yeah, totally wouldn't have been an option for me.

Right now, in terms of price and availability, that one in particular is actually probably my best bet. But time will tell, my guitar hasn't even sold yet so I can't get it anyway!

Also, I read somewhere that even though it's stupidly thin, it's really comfortable. Not to mention, yeah I have had a COW, LTD, and PRS, but let's not forget that before those I had an RG7620, which I absolutely adored, playability-wise.

I've come to realise in recent years that there isn't really one neck 'type' that I will gravitate towards. If it's comfortable it's comfortable. I seem to be able to adapt quite well.

I played the Dean after playing a Universe for 5-10 minutes. The Dean felt more comfy for me and I was damn surprised how it was thin but still felt good. The Cooley sig was like half the price too. I think you'd like it. The term effortless comes to mind.

The Dean's neck is skinny indeed, but I (gasp) actually love the carve on Ben's KxK. It's skinny as all hell but oh so playable. Guitar sings, too...

What KXK is that?

Eugh, I really want a Loomis dammit. There's one for sale within my price range but the bridge is corroded to fuck. The guy must have acidic sweat
