    Help identifying a strat?

    Hi guys,

need some help again. Okay, so Fender strat's aren't exactly the first thing to come in mind from "metalguitarist", but I'll try nevertheless.

    The subject:
eBay - The UK's Online Marketplace

The question: Squier? Google doesn't say anything about Squier Baja's, but Fender Baja's are found plentiful - though in telecaster only. So would that even be a Baja at all or... what exactly has that been?

Also, worth it? I've been on the look for a bluesy strat-style gitfiddle for a while now. The guy can ship it to Finland, where I live.

If that's a real picture of the guitar, that's a good price I'd say, although, I'm not a strat man. ALthough, if you want blues, Les Paul is where I'd go.
Do you know what time it is? It's time to FARK SHEET ARRRRRP!!

That looks to not be legit. Mexico production started in late 1991 so it cant be an 89 Mexi. Also the logo is not in the right place for any Fender.

    Wirelessly posted

From the description it sounds to me like a parts guitar.

I agree with the logo being off. Looks weird.

mexi production started in 89 actually. They were ramping up for the first run in 1990.

Definitely an aftermarket job - the description even suggests as much.

This just screams "NO" to me, despite how awesome it looks. Looks very much like a partscaster job or something similar. But hey, if it's a good guitar then 225 GBP isn't bad at all!
