Finally got this today. Between the long wait to get it, and then waiting for the pickups, and then finding time to get over to my friend's shop, it took forever.

As usual, it's a well built guitar. The top veneer looks great, the ebony board is awesome, the inlays are clean, etc. the birds are not at all green, as they often appear in online pics.
The pickups are Dimarzio Breeds, in the newer chrome covers. Previous SE experience tells me the pickups usually aren't terrible, but not awesome either.
It is a pretty damn heavy guitar. Only the Catanese and Zack Myers are a thick and heavy. The regular 245 and Bernie Marsden are a lot thinner and lighter.
This has everything I liked about the 245, but with the Tone Pros and the ebony board. I really like the standard LP layout too.
If you're looking for a reasonably priced LP-ish guitar, give one of these a spin. And yes, I'm getting tuners. I didn't do it yet because I don't know if I want to still for Sperzels, or go the Schaller route.
Great looking guitar. Go with the schallers.
