Default Jackson ( Fender ) and marketing - ( also: where the f... are the new 7 string ?)

After being the last company to announce the launch of cheap-but-good series of 7 string models, after being the last company publishing a preview of these models, after being the last company launching a forum on their website ( where you never get answers ) , Jackson hasn't provided any new information about the actual release of the new 7 string x series models.

Is it a super marketing strategy to create waiting and more attention, or is it just that they can't make it???

Any news? I remember someone here had "birds" telling some good anticipations... nothing more?

p.s. - Jackson are still my favourites, but if they need ages to release what any other big brand has been doing for years now, ( decent mid-range budget 7 string guitars ) I might decide to stop waiting and to spend my savings on something else.
p.p.s. - Truth is I am just bored and had to spend my last 5 mins at work ranting about something!

Yeah, Jackson's marketing has been crap for a long time. You'd think the Fender acquisition would have fixed that, but...

The best thing that could ever happen to the guitar world would be for Fender drop Jackson and them be bought by their original owners again. Also, if Gibson could pull thier head's out of their asses. . . .

Do you know what time it is? It's time to FARK SHEET ARRRRRP!!

I really don't think you want Wayne Charvel owning the company again.

Wayne Guitars is his current company. They only make "traditional" bolt on guitars.

Didn't Grover Jackson basically own Charvel before any of the actual guitars started being made? I thought Wayne only owned the company when it was making parts.

My experiences with Fender/Jackson render me totally un-surprised that there is a lack of information available.

More or less. Wayne was assembling a few guitars from necks/bodies made by others, including Boogie Bodies--pretty much the same way people buy Warmoth parts now and have a pro assemble them properly. According to Grover, Wayne bought woodworking equipment before he sold the company but never even bothered to turn it on. That changed almost immediately when Grover bought the company.

Still, Wayne was the original owner of the company, not Grover.

Anyway, Grover has never replicated his initial success after selling the company to IMC. He's basically been a dabbler for the last 25 years.
