The Swan - new concept by Skervesen Guitars Poland

[Skervesen Guitars]

We - Skervesen Guitars - started experimenting with fanned frets.
So this is a prototype of ours - and also an approach for new body and headstock design called The Swan.

Here's specification:

Neck - rosewood/ebony
Fretboard - ebony
Fanned frets 25,5-27" scale
Body - ash
Top - radius bubinga / burl poplar
Tuners - Hipshot
bridge - ABM no. 3210
Pickups BKP Warpig zebra 7 - custom fanned frets version, 10 degrees
straplocks - Dunlop

That was the first attempt on MDF:

What we have now are those:




Now we await for bridge's arrival only .

I dig everything but the upper horn. Something isnt quite right where it meets the neck.

All in allt hough, I really dig it

OMG, that's beautiful wood. The streaking in the fingerboard seems to follow the shape of the body through to the headstock. It's perfect.

Very interesting design, too.

You sound like you're doing this anyway, but definitely get your experimentation in before you start taking orders. Exhibit A - google "Rotor."

That said, that fretboard is gorgeous.
