    Am I just mildly retarded or do blank fretboards make you get lost too?

    When I'm anywhere above the 17th fret I must admit it can get damn tricky, especially at speed, even with side-markers.

    Does anybody else find this?

    I've never played a guitar without fret markers, but I don't look at them too often so I think I'd be fine. I also don't spend that much time above the 17th fret

    I get lost pretty easy without fret markers on the fingerboard. Don't know why. I don't use em that much. But I guess I use em more than I think.

    None of my guitars have fret markers and it has never bothered me in the least.
