    Remember I stripped my bandmate's S7320?

I started that practically this time last year, he took it away for a while once I got down to the wood, but when we realised that we still hadn't got through the sealant he gave it to his father to take it to work, and use a belt-sander on it.

Anyway, he never got round to it, and it just sat there, and sat there. Last week he finally gave it back to me ready to oil, and I'm currently about to administer the fourth coat.

Here's how it looks so far.

I'm massively jealous, because the whole reason he wanted me to do this is because my natural-finished M-307 inspired him to do the same, only this has come out much better than that did. It's darker and more grainy.

On the other hand, I'm not jealous, because it's an S7320.

That's a surprisingly nice piece of wood.

I'm surprised at how good that wood looked under the paint.

Wow, that does look really good. When did Ibanez stop making these out of five pieces of wood?

The s series is thin enough that wood to make a 2 piece or 3 piece body is much cheaper than for a strat or other similar guitar. Almost half the board feet, really.
