With a pickguard and without that stupid middle humbucker, it just might be cool!

actually an RG is one of the only guitars a middle humbucker looks good on imo.

You know, I used to think middle humbuckers were retarded too. Then I got a guitar with bridge and middle hums and no neck pickup. Middle humbuckers are actually pretty cool, but I do still miss the neck tone.

A JB in the middle position sounds incredible. Move a bridge pickup away from the bridge to where the string excursion is greater, and it'll absolutely roar.
