Gibson Limited Run Explorer Melody Maker Electric Guitar | Musician's Friend

Holy shit I didn't know Gibson gas was possible. I wish I wasn't beyond broke and a for fun guitar was possible. Plus I love maple bodied guitars.

I love the V version and I LOVE single pickup guitars...But I just can't deal with that headstock on an explorer. I've been wanting an explorer for a while....just wish it had an explorer headstock...i'd be all over it then!

The wood combination probably sounds very interesting.... Maple body/Mahogany Neck/Baked Maple Maple fretboard and a Duncan HB-103 (which is apparently just a Distortion) all that for $299? Looks like i'm going to be sending ZZounds an email to beat the price and make 4 payments on it...wish they had the White one, The black is boring, and the Blue is kinda eh looking....the blue is growing on me, maybe it would look better with a white pickguard.

That's too cheap to be a Gibson worth buying, I think...

Yeah, I've played a bunch of the SG version of these in the store. Not really worth it, IMO. You'd be better off spending a bit more and buying the Epiphone Korina Explorer, which is an incredible guitar for the money.

I'd be more inclined to pick up the V... the headstock shape suits it better.
