just went out to remove the clamp and that ho is SOLID



oh and heres the serial number 6302423

gonna start fillin the neck pickup cavity here in a few hrs, the TEXAS heat is a lil too much right now so I stay inside :P

more progress

so I cut and glued pieces for the neck pup hole











Time for her to get reaquianted with Jed Clampet



and here it sits til everything settles again, I hate the waiting game

Are the routes for the pickup tabs just filled with glue?

You would have been a little better off cutting the filler pieces to as close to the same shape as the route as you could manage with the hack saw. It would have saved you the hassle down the road.

Cool project though, good luck. Hope that crack doesn't turn into too much of a problem.

ya I know, ohwell atleast its not negatively effecting it :P

ya I think the crack will be ok, but we wont know for sure til I put a lil stress on it

So I stupidly deleted the smooth top after sanding pic

but heres the rest of the progress pics, battery ran outa juice so I will finish the jack hole tomarrow and start applying a putty over the dips n sand it flat, then prime n paint and look for a Floyd




super happy I made it through!


and this is where I stopped when the drill died ... SO CLOSE!!

time to make smooth!





almost forgot to move my strap button


Much better position then previouse, feels more balanced


now to sand this crap






And a teaser Mc Pleaser ... ran outa primer and the damn thing was spitting like crazy so no more for now

not at all what I was goin for ... but Im extremely happy with it, I gotta finish sanding the back of the neck for a nice super clean raw look, then black the headstock, apply the "R" decal, and clear this mofo up n down

and the finish looks a ton better in person
