I will have a look at these when they go on sale.
I blame Chris for buying all those JP guitars and fueling my G.A.S.

My JP7 doesnt have shields and I do like it without but at the same time, I do hope to get a new one with them. I do think they are killer inlays and usually im not into inlays at all.

Also a midrange 7 with the JP trem

I've played a couple of the Sterling guitars and they're really nice for what you're paying. Drop a set of awesome pickups in there and you've got a pretty beastly guitar. Good fretwork, clean bodywork and a really nice playing neck.

If they're doing a 7 string version, i'll probably buy one because I love the shape and can't drop the coin on a real one.

I have mixed feelings. I don't want to feel like I'm playing a Squier or Epiphone. This has to be pretty remarkable to overcome that for me.

I'm excited. It may not be a true EBMM JP7, but if Petrucci has a hand in it I'm sure it'll be a great axe regardless. I may get one depending on how they turn out!

I'm almost never going to get a full EBMM JP7, because it's not quite what I go for in terms of guitars. It's not far enough away from what I've got to be a different option (like my 7-string strat is) and it's not close enough to be in rotation as the main player.

I do like the necks on the JP7s though, so if this is close to that, I'll probably pick one up to piss around with. Who knows, maybe I'll start another prog metal project and have a use for it!

I'm curious about these, but if they are like their six string counterparts they will have medium-sized frets, which sucks to me
