Doesn't matter how many times I change the strings, what gauge strings I use, how many times I intonate/setup, switching between b standard and drop a is a pain in the ass. Tension isn't an issue as I've got large enough gauge strings and I've intonated precisely during setup. B standard sounds perfect, but I tune to drop A on my tuner and the open chord sounds weird, and then power chords sound like ass because the lowest string is out of tune even though the tuner says it's right. The weird thing is if I just use my ear to tune to drop a, everything sounds much better but I'll check my tuning on the tuner and I'll be flat.
What gives? is something causing this to happen? Do you guys just tune to drop A if you switch quickly just by ear or what? I'm kind of frustrated here.
Have you intonated it to A or B?
