1: Too much blues
2: Not enough metal
3: Not enough amps
4: Not even 1 4x12, let alone decent heads
5: What did I really expect?
Encountered 2 new (to me at least) luthiers:
Very high build quality and lovely woods in the guitars and basses he had on display. I was rather impressed. The man knows how to put a guitar together and what from. Pics on the site dont do them justice.
The one I played had a, sweet chime and responsiveness, but full, lush, powerful sound that you rarely get all from the same guitar. Absolutely beautiful.
I also played a Nathan Sheppard that had a stunning top, but the overall build quality and acoustic performance lacked imo. I was disappoint, especially after hearing many good reports.
Most UK guitar shows end up a blooze fest...
I put on a show in Devon last year and filled it with modern players and even a duo with an acoustic and a harp playing Metallica covers. Yet the bloozers kept churning out the same old licks...
What ya gonna do?
