So here's number two on this fall's guitar hit parade. Even thought my niece hit her tuition goal I was selling guitars to help her out with, I had a few guitars left that didn't need to be sold but it turned into I wanted them sold. One was my Caparison Horus Snow Cloud which someone bought on the 'bay. I went to sleep saying "Watch...there'll be something nice for the price".
Carvin CT624 with koa top for $1000. These CT624's start off at $1500 before options and koa tops are another $400 so there's a $900 savings right there. Seller said he put maybe 10 hours on it (from the looks, probably true) so hell of a deal. Plus, Floyd and no inlays ebony board and mahogany neck w/ maple stripes? May as well have ordered it myself.
Specs n' pics
CT624 w/ mahogany body & koa top w/ sunset burst
mahogany neck w/ 2 maple stripes
ebony board w/ no inlays
Floyd w/ locking nut
Seymour Duncan Alnico II in the neck
Seymour Duncan JB in the bridge
coil tap on the tone knob
I suspect the pictures (and especially the flash) do this one no justice. I'm not blown away, but something tells me I'd LOVE this one in person.
