I've decided to keep it and try throwing in an H30 to mix with the V30 (I was actually going to get a 4X12 with these in an X pattern but I thought this would be a much cheaper way to see if I like the mix)
I didn't really like this cab when I had it sitting on top of my Recto cab, it sounded kind of hollow and boxy to me, but now that I have it on the floor it sounds punchy and full. I'm sure part of it is the speakers are starting to break in (when I said this was brand new I wasn't kidding) and I'm sure part of it is becuase it's on the floor.
I wonder if there's a way to keep it sounding this punchy but get it back on top of my Recto cab
any ideas anyone? or is it being on the floor what's making it sound fuller?
Nope. You're getting the reflections off the floor adding to the bass response.
