Had no internet for a couple of days (go Virgin Media!), so got to keep this light.
I bought this neck a couple of months ago and have been hunting for reverse (lefty) tuners for it. Finally found a set of 6 lefty 'Schaller-style' locking tuners on eBay. They had multiple sets, so I bought two. Sounds lavish, but they were £16.99 a set.
So I got to put it all together tonight. The neck is a Jaden Rose, and the headstock has an orange flamed maple cap on it, which wouldn't work with any of my guitars. But I still had some of the GuitarSkins sticker left over that I'd used on my RG, so I decided to cover the headstock and stick the neck on the stickered guitar (say sticker again! Say sticker again! I dare you! I double dare you, motherfucker!).
Bottom line, the neck feels quite nice. It's not amazing, but it's not bad. The frets are shockingly tarnished, and it apparently arrived like that to the guy who ordered the guitar it's from. Not brilliant. I'll go at them with some T-cut or something soon. But I just wanted to get it put together tonight to see how it looks.
Only one pic, I'm afraid. I'm near the end of my data allowance, so got to keep it light. Looks fairly badass, I reckon.
I had to set the guitar up with a set of 10's, as it's the only set I had lying around until my order comes in. It's tuned to A standard and feels a bit poo, tension-wise. But the nut height and fit in the pocket worked like a charm. No need to shim either. Nice.
Looks awesome. Now, put a fucking neck pickup in there you heathen.
