Teaching has its perks (Vintage martin content)

This is a student's vintage 1930's Martin hollow body jazz box. Unfortunately it was damaged at some point, and the repair job seems good enough but definitely not fool-proof to the eye or anything. It desperately needs new strings, but I had fun just playing some chords on it. It is now in it's 3rd generation in the family, which is pretty cool. Grandpa's first guitar, he told me!

I doubt I'll ever see another one again.

    Wirelessly posted

I've been teaching for years, this happens to be my latest reports-to-an-employer gig

    Sweet vintage piece!

This is a C-1, which was the bottom of the Martin 3 model archtop line, and made only from 1932-42. I've seen a few of these over the years, but they are quite rare, and never sold in the same numbers as the flattops for which Martin was famous for.

Wow, that's pretty awesome. Don't think I've ever played a pre-WWII guitar before.
