Definitely going to be doing this

"Sometimes you have to confront your own patterns and expectations of yourself and do away with things that you enjoy doing in order to move forward and keep evolving as a musician. That's exactly the definition of the word progressive of course." —Steven Wilson

There is such a thing as good string sets for less than $5 (including tax, of course)?

I usually buy d'addarios and they are less than $5 and so are most GHS strings

That would be an awesome deal, but it sucks when your stringing up 7's and 8's and have any custom gauges. (The 8 string sets are some of the stupidest tensioned sets ever)

I only use D'Addario 10s, so this would be awesome....but I don't have a local store. I'll have to make a trip to my closest one soon though.

I use Blue Steels. I think they're like $5.19.

I don't change strings very often, tho.

Too bad they just won't give you 10-12 packs of strings for $20 up front, since that's what it ends up working out to be.

Remember that this was designed to make Guitar Center money. They are counting on either:

1) people not getting their $20s worth

or

2) getting people into the store 12 times a year because then they're more likely to buy other things
