Anyone here wielding a Charvel Desolation Soloist DX-1 FR?

I've been looking to stray away from my ibanez obsession and get a "fun" guitar. I was browsing a catalog bored at work and the desolation soloist really caught my eye. That thing is freakin beautiful! Seems like a whole lot of guitar for $700 but I was wondering if you guys have any personal feedback because I value your input a whole lot more than random internet reviews.

    Que the fap worthy pics

    Looks like good fret access.

Is it available with an inlay on the 24th fret? It feels unbalanced without.

Hey there, I spent a good hour with one in a guitar store and I can tell you they definitely look better than they play. I will attribute part of it to the poor setup that was done on it when i played it but I wasn't a huge fan. I would rather buy a used charvel USA production series guitar for around $800, Then again i am not much for buying new guitars. I like buying used as I feel I get more for the money and i hate breaking in a new guitar !

The inlays are fugly, and there's nothing really "Charvel" about it aside from the headstock logo.

They should have just remade the Model 6. Flat top, sharkteeth, etc. No abalone BS.
