List of shit:
- stock bridge pickup changed for a stock out of a Epi les paul for some fucking reason? Even has the hugely tall, angled-back pickup ring
- Trem arm pocket has shredded thread so no arm (whole replacement trem jobby perhaps?)
- Damn nice neck, but slightly too much relief and I don't have a truss rod wrench (nothing like that Washburn fiasco though, so no shim-shimminy shim-shim-sheroo!)
Now most of those are an easy fix of course. Once I've got all mods/parts/whatever I'm taking it to a tech to take care of. But in terms of ideas...
I've got a JB for the bridge, haven't put it in yet though. Haven't bought a neck pup yet (still hunting).
I want to get rid of the middle pickup entirely. Not just because I don't use them, but it's physically in the way when I pick.
I don't care about there being a gap, I don't want to go to the lengths of re-finishing the guitar and filling it in - In fact I'd kinda like this guitar to look a bit ghetto - Think Frankenstrat, but perhaps not quite that ghetto. What I mean is I don't mind things looking a little crude and DIY (duct tape here and there, or stickers, for example).
Tone knob - do not want. Killswitch?
Also a 5-way switch would be somewhat overkill for an H-S config. 3-way blade is probably the way to go there.
Any other ideas?
