My original budget was going to be $300. The acoustic I own currently is the Epiphone PR-150. Bought it like three years ago, it's my first guitar. Now I can deal with the super high action, and the fact that it sounds obnoxiously bright...but there is a lot of fret buzz around that 12th fret.
So I went to GC a couple of weeks ago, tested out some acoustic guitars. I really wanted something to sound warm and I don't know kind of soft. You know like the crackling fireplace inside your living room on a snowy night.
They have cool signs for price points on guitars, but after picking up two in the $300 and below, I spotted this Taylor guitar.
Taylor 2012 GS Mini Mahogany Acoustic Guitar | GuitarCenter
-Love that Mahogany
-It's a 7/8
-It's from Guitar Center
So time for questions. How much is having a 7/8 going to affect me, if at all? I know with violins and orchestral instruments it does affect a lot...but those are also fretless. Would you recommend anything else in GC's lineup that sounds delightfully warm and isn't super bulky?
I have the gift card to GC, so it's going to be from there.

I've seen someone gig with one of those. Sounded great.
