The sourcing of the new Jacksons is all over the place.
Most of the X Series guitars seem to be from India (including my SLXT), though some of the more recently introduced models are being made in China. I do wonder whether FMIC is unhappy with the Indian products or arrangement somehow and is shifting production elsewhere. China has a much more developed guitar industry now than India does, and I'd think it would be easier to contract for manufacturing there than in India.
The new neckthru Pros are made in Indonesia, and the new bolt-on Pros are made in Mexico. It wouldn't surprise me if the entire Pro series moves to Mexico eventually, since FMIC has so much tied up in those operations.
