Germany (January 18, 2013) – Framus is proud to announce a new Signature model “Made in Germany” for 2013. Wolf Hoffmann, guitarist of the Heavy Metal Band “Accept” - together with the Framus Custom Shop - has developed a guitar exactly manufactured according to his needs. This guitar is now available from Framus as a Signature model.

The Maple body of the Framus Wolf Hoffmann Signature guitar is curved three-dimensionally. This shape ergonomically suits the right hand perfectly and the weight of the guitar was reduced. The fretboard is made of Tigerstripe Ebony with block/pyramid inlays and the 24 Nickelsilver frets are installed with Framus’ unique Invisible Fret Technology, then perfectly dressed by plek technology.

The Wolf Hoffmann guitar comes with an active EMG 81 bridge pickup, an EMG SA neck pickup and with passive electronics with a singlecoil boost in the electronic compartment. It features an original Floyd Rose bridge system with Floyd Rose upgrade parts. The looks of the Wolf Hoffmann Signature guitar is topped off with a Cream White High Polish finish.

I saw him use this guy live recently. It sounded amazing and super punchy, but he never once used the neck pup.

But all maple guitars make me smile. I love this trend and it needs to continue.
