    Fake ESP eclipse

Hey there, any esp guys know about this one ? Apparently an older model because it still has 4 knobs but the inlays look a bit off to me. The spacing doesn't seem right at all compared to my 2 other eclipses. Anyone have an older one they can compare ? Here's the link.

That string spacing looks messed up the first two string but it could be on the saddle wrong. The finish looks pretty bad, and the nut looks unoriginal.

I've never seen a 4 knob eclipse with that style lower horn.

AFAIK the black Eclipse never came in gloss black, just flat black. Check out those EMGs - the Eclipses ship with an 81/60 set, and that neck pickup is gold. The colour looks off on the pickups, too. Also, the inlays and plastic parts all look wonky, and the proportions are off on the ESP logo. Not to mention, the knob layout looks backwards.

Avoid. I've owned a Chibson and this sets off all the same alarm bells. Chances are some dude bought it off eBay hoping that it wasn't actually a copy, found it out was true good to be true, and was a copy and sucked, and is trying to get his money back.

I concur with above. It just doesn't look right.

Yeah. To expand on what I said earlier:

Headstock is too big or logos are too small.

Truss rod cover is a joke.

    Nut is cheap plastic.

Inlays are a mess, because they've ordered the bare minimum of different sizes as you go up the neck.

Jeffycakes will confirm but I'm pretty sure ESP have never put 'ESP' as an inlay on an ESP. It'd say 'Eclipse II' it was the real deal.

EMG's are never shipped with plastic wrap on them.

No battery box. HUGE warning. If those EMG's were installed OEM (as is implied by the plastic covers) then there'd be a battery box.

    Knob/pot configuration is whack.
