you have to throw out both sets.
This is the first time I've managed to do this in over eight years of playing stringed instruments. I just absolutely wasn't paying attention to what strings I was putting where, and now I have a super-strat with no strings.
That's why I like to have redundancy built into my redundancy with strings. Once on and in tune, I'm usually good to go, but getting there can sometimes take a few extra strings!
