Just couldn't pass up on this as it was local. It's a 97' J-Custom KRG1502. I'm about halfway through correcting the clear coat on it but since I will be ditching the painfully awful pickups in it, I'll have more time to address that issue when the new pickups arrive. In it now is a FRED bridge which is fine except it's purple. The neck is a pink PAF pro disguised in horrid rustolium black and some remnants of a metallic blue paint job at some point during it's life. I spent a lot of time getting all the metallic blue paint off the end of the fretboard, and off the clear coat surrounding the neck pickup cavity. Also found some as far back as the back strap button. Clear coat was riddled with fogging below the high E and tons of pick type scratches everywhere front and back. Three hours with a buffer and swirl remover have gotten me halfway to clean and mirror like. Had to put new strings on it and play it though...It really is an amazing guitar to play. Has the "ultra" profile neck which is super nice.
Hot damn! That thing is awesome!
