It was really cool actually. It was this one:
Jackson SLXT Soloist Electric Guitar | Musician's Friend
I'm used to Ibanez guitars when it comes to the thin-necked shredders, but this one was very nice. The neck feels thinner but not uncomfortable than a Wizard II-type neck, and almost a bit wider too? I think it's just that the shoulders are smaller and farther apart than an Ibanez. The neck joint was REALLY cool though, and allowed easy playing way up high on the neck. I never felt crippled by my Ibanez until I played this guitar, hehe.
I'm not a fan of the shapes and finishes Jackson offer really, the look never appealed to me. I do really like the bright green finish on a lot of them though. I think I'll still be an Ibanez guy, but that neck and neck joint has given me something to think about for sure.
So who's played/owned both and what are your thoughts on the two brands?

How can anyone NOT like the Soloist shape? That dinky shape with the deep cutaways is the father of shred guitars.
