Thought this would be interesting. In an effort to stop tearing strap buttons out with my stage antics I've installed the button behind the horn on my 540P and I absolutely hate it, because it pushes the body out and away from me making me look like I'm posing all the time - a la Rambo with machine gun:
I'll need to redrill and put back on the horn, despite how inherently fragile screwing into the end grain is.
For clarity, end of horn = standard Ibanez placement; behind horn = what I've seen on some KxK's but I can't think of any mass production guitars that do it; neck plate = old Westones etc., where one of the neck screws has the strap button on the end of it, round the headstock = you probably don't wear socks, noodles = noodles = finkle = einhorn.
Get a bigger screw.
