Well if I had posted this a few days ago, it would definitely be new finished guitar day.
Anyway this used to be an Ibanez rg7620
I honestly wasn't sure what to do after I started plucking the paint off this thing, and oh boy was that paint just layered on there, it was thick enough to use as a Jazz III pick
Anywho this would be my first finish done by shellac and lacquer from a can. it's a bit obvious where uhm.. I messed up
After I stripped the whole guitar, I decided I wanted to put a fancy veneer on top, after looking and ooodles of woods I decided on a burl because I have always been fond of mother nature's mutated woodwarts. I stained it black and amber a few times to really bring out the deep gold of the Laurel burl, but it didn't add affect much. oh well
But I hope you all enjoy the pics
that's sick wood, why was there ever paint over it?
