I usually avoid trems like the plague, but I've had more and more of a hankering to add some trem weedly to my music as of late. The extent of my trem knowledge is limited, at best, but I have some interest in a guitar with an FRTS2000.
Trem guys, is this a decent bridge? If not, what would be a better candidate for replacement?
Thanks for your help!
I tried a couple of guitars out with them. They feel pretty nice to me. Much nicer than the old licensed trems you used to get so often. The good news is, you can upgrade most of its components over time if you're not digging the use of cheaper metals (but they're not made entirely of cheap metal anymore, I think - only a few bits, like the block).
I'd have no problem grabbing a guitar with one. Even less of a problem if I weren't a trem guy and was just grabbing something to test the waters.
