    Aged Strings

Who else here indulges in this esoteric pleasure? Not old used strings, mind you. Strings that have been maturing in their original packaging for at least 20 years.

I have a couple sets of D'addarios I have been aging in my string cellar for 2 years. I figure in another 10 they should be matured enough to go on a guitar.

If you have aged strings I am willing to buy them for my collection.

I have some NOS Gibson acoustic strings. Got them when I worked there like 12 years ago. Put a set on my acoustic not long ago and they sound fantastic. Aged like a fine wine.

D'adarrio does come from a very good winding region of Europe. Not like those uppity American bastards at Elixir.

I thought Elixir just coated D'Addarios?
