I've recently found myself very interested in getting a jazz bass. I love the sound and feel, and when I pick them up in the store I always have a blast playing them. I don't have much cash, but I do have some stuff I could trade around to make the purchase easier, so I'm trying to stay on a tight budget.
I'm actually very interested in Squier's modified Jazz Bass 77 model. I love the look of it, and it has a maple fretboard, which is a big plus for me. SO my question for you guys is, how is Squier's QC lately? Anyone playing something close to this one and satisfied with it?
I'm obviously going to try and get to play one, but that may rely on my local GC 'special ordering' one, so I'd love to get some intel from here as well.
Squier makes a lot of very underrated guitars and basses. I have an Affinity P Bass and after upgrading the pickup and the electronics it's a killer sounding bass. I'm going to be buying one of these in the near future:
Vintage Modified Telecaster® Special | Electric Guitars | Fender Guitars
I'd say go for it! It will be a great sounding bass at a killer price point.
