When I was a kid, my first real guitar was this Epiphone Special II:
When I got Sweetwater's newest catalog and saw the 2013 Gibson lineup, I knew this had to be done:
The 70's neck carve is a perfect blend of 50's round and 60's slim taper. The neck has a volute too, which is pretty cool.
I'm really liking the Dirty Fingers too. They cover a lot of ground between a nice AC/DC-like hard rock all the way to more saturated all-out metal (a la ...and Justice). These two came to mind since it's about all I've jamming the last week.
All in all, it's a great guitar
Niccceee! I've been really interested in trying the 70s tribute Gibson has been putting out. Partially because of the dirty fingers but mainly because of the necks. Don't these aso have a maple neck, IIRC?
