Okay, this was actually last week, but I've been so busy with work I've not had time til today to give it a proper look, and unfortunately it's desperately needing parts before it'll be playable.
Before any pictures, I'd like to give a huge shoutout and thanks to Markus without who I would not own this beautiful instrument. He knew I've been looking for one, spotted one on a local Finnish Craigslist-a-like, and ended up dealing with the seller who was a twatwaffle to me. Snagged the guitar for almost €200 less through Markus too but a lot of it was eaten up by postage fees.
TL;DR - Markus is the fucking man. Thank you so much dude!
Without further adieu, it's an Ibanez RG7680LTD-1, the original limited run prototypes for the later RG1077XL. Very limited numbers, only a handful are in circulation.
Spec-wise it's similar to the 1077XL - 27" scale, Lo Pro 7, New-7 pickups (as far as I can tell - not pulled them out yet), Powder Cosmo hardware.
Where it gets cute is the finish - a very cool 3-D style finish that's very difficult to capture in photos, and the best bit - glow in the dark dots and binding. I've not managed to get a good shot of the glow in the dark yet but it looks spectacular.
Unfortunately as you can see in the pictures it's in pieces as the previous owner lost one of the locking nut mounting bolts and the trem screws were so utterly chewed I had to dremel them out. Awaiting replacements.
The neck is stamped F00 but features 5-piece construction, which I believe would make it Ibanez's first five piece 7 string necks. The neck itself is an absolute dream to play, a thousand times better than my S7 and on par with my RG7420. I'm quite particular about my necks on 7 strings as I need something comfortable and this is effortless. The body is surprisingly light and very resonant and bright for basswood.
I don't have a camera down here but when I get it back home I'll definitely fire some good ones up!
